What I do
I design speaking confidence programmes that help your team or staff manage common workplace communication settings. I believe in creating a programme that is based on pedagogical research, practice-driven, and tailored to your unique company context. This is what you can expect in a corporate training programme:
Customised Context - Consultative approach to understand your team's current learning need, profile/culture, and learner profile - matched against relevant learning objectives
Practice-Bias - Scenario-based speaking tasks to ensure your team practice theory with relevant context that fits your company (e.g., roleplays, simulation, improvisation)
Sustainable Outcomes - Follow-up exercises, content, or sessions (depending on programme) for your team to continue applying and reviewing the new techniques

About Me
I draw on my experience and expertise as a communicator in various settings. I have been a prosecutor, a C-Suite (COO), a public speaker - communication is the golden thread through this journey. I believe that there is nothing like the struggle of having a powerful idea but lacking the confidence to convey it. I want to empower inside voices into outside influence.
Formal communication background - I started in the speaking circuit as a Toastmaster 15 years ago before working as a Deputy Public Prosecutor from 2015 to 2019, honing persuasive communication and negotiation through written and oral advocacy in the Singapore Courts. I graduated from National University of Singapore (Law) in 2015, after being awarded the Public Service Commission Singapore Government Scholarship in 2011.
Practice-Bias - I am experienced in andragogy-driven approaches for public speaking / communication training in the corporate setting. I have attained the Advanced Certificate in Learning & Performance (ACLP) by Institute for Adult Learning Singapore and am an Accredited Mediator under Singapore Mediation Centre. I have applied these skills in my role as a Senior Trainer & Chief Operating Officer role in Public Speaking Academy Pte Ltd where I designed and helmed communication training programmes for adults and corporate clients.
Sustainable Outcomes - I keep myself challenged in applying these communication techniques in new settings. I was a Founder as part of Antler's accelerator programme 2023 where I pitched an early-stage product to the venture capital fund. I was also awared the Roger Fisher Negotiation (Top Student) Prize in 2015, in pursuing further communication settings to challenge myself.
